Self-driving cars have become an interesting topic that being discussed today. People wants a car being smarter and user friendly creating a demand for artificial intelligence in cars. Tv show car like KITT, are now are bing discussing today when designer persona was being made.
Therefore, we are going to use personas, scenarios, and storyboards to discover the potential interactions between vehicles and driver.

Ms. Robinsons is a very busy women with four kids. She is always running around for her kids' school actives. She is very frustrated because she did not have enough time to do all of the things at once. Since she has Autonomous vehicles, it is not only helps her bring the kids to different actives or events but also take good care of her kids while they are on the road. Now she can have time for herself but also have a vehicle that can take care of her kids' school actives or events.
I went to a workshop called "Setting the Stage with Metaphors for Interaction-Researching Methodological Approaches for interaction Design of Autonomous Vehicles on DIS (Designing Interaction Systems) conference on 2017". We presented our research on the workshop and we got a great feedback from everyone there.
During this workshop, we discussed different types of relationship that we should gave to the autonomous vehicle and driver. Should it be team player? pilot and autopilot? or The operator? or dog and owner supervisor? or private chauffeur? or driving student? or something else? There are many different assumptions, each one are interested, but it all depends on the situation. and the purpose of driving the autonomous vehicle.
I am glad I did the research paper, and attend the workshop with autonomous vehicle. I learned that autonomous vehicle not just a robot that we used to to created, it needs different personality, and character in order to fit with the variety scenarios and situation. Although there is no personality that was given to the vehicle yet, but I am looking forward what autonomous vehicle can be in the future.
